C-Change Adventures

Explore the beautiful waterways of Nambucca Heads in a kayak or on a stand up paddle board! C-Change Adventures offers the unique experience to explore the pristine waterways of the Nambucca Valley with a fully qualified marine scientist.  Enjoy a day on the water with the kayak eco-tour, learn to stand up paddle board, explore the mangrove mazes, find some bush tucker, slide down the sand dunes, catch a yabby and race your fellow travellers to find the champion of Nambucca! All whilst learning the local history and fun facts of the waterways. 

Trent Munro Surf Academy

A Surfing experience with the experienced! Set yourself free and learn to surf with expert tuition from one of the worlds best, Trent Munro. Surf and paddle boarding lessons are available for groups and one on one lessons, or explore the secret beaches along the local coastline with a half/full day 'secret spot' adventure. Board hire is available if you wish to get out there on your own. Trent Munro Surf Academy also offers the Surf Groms program for the youngsters (aged 5 - 12 years), with an extensive 4 day learn to surf program run throughout the School Holidays. 

Nambucca Island Golf Club

Australia’s only Island Golf Course venue is surrounded by the pristine Nambucca River with dolphins, birds and wildlife centre stage. Play a round of golf on the 18 hole course, which is both challenging in design and play. The tranquil river setting adjacent to the licensed Golf Club Clubhouse, is BBQ and picnic facilities for the public’s enjoyment. The riverbank here is a popular fishing spot and it’s a great place to laze and watch the river traffic including, if you’re lucky, the odd dolphin. 

The Pub with No Beer

Visit the world famous Australian Pub – The pub with no beer. The world renowned pub is open daily for lunch, Fridays and Saturdays for dinner. The pub has regular entertainment and displays Slim Dusty memorabilia.

The little settlement of Taylor’s Arm lies a scenic 27km west of Macksville and surrounded by State Forests, National Parks and great swimming holes on the Taylor’s Arm River. There are a number of facilities for visitors to enjoy including barbeques, tennis courts and a cricket pitch. 

Scenic Drive

Drive through the Upper Nambucca Valley Mountains to see the Bollanolla Nature Reserve and the Viewmont State Forest on the Nambucca Valla Loop or Williams Hill Loop. The scenic drive boasts an endless network of forest trails, lush green hinterland roads, creeks and rainforest drives.

There are plenty of opportunities to stop off along the way to explore the historical towns, enjoy a picnic, cool off with a swim or throw a line in. 

Dunggir National Park - Buckra Bendinni

For a fun and adventurous day out, visit the Dunggir National Park!

Dunggir National Park is a place of spectacular extremes. The park offers a stunning forest drive past tallow woods, ironbarks, and a must-see scenic lookout with wide views of Nambucca Valley all the way to the coast. It is also great for hiking and offers scenic picnic spots.

Gaagal Wanggaan (South Beach) National Park

Encompassing Warrell Creek, Gaagal Wanggan (South Beach) National Park covers an undisturbed coastal dune system, littoral rainforest, shrubland, and estuarine mangroves - a variety of breathtaking natural environments with migratory wildlife and precious endangered species. 

Visitors to the park will enjoy a unique marine playground perfect for boating, swimming, fishing, and other water activities. There are a number of beach tracks leading to short scenic forest hikes.

Nambucca Heads Main Beach

Nambucca Heads Main Beach is patrolled in the summer school holidays and weekends from October to Easter Weekend, making it a family friendly and safe environment for swimming and water activities. Main Beach boasts the Nambucca Heads Surf Life Saving Club, public bathrooms and showers and a bus service into town. Dolphins are regularly spotted close to shore, and Humpback whales are often spotted in the Spring. Surfing, swimming, wind surfing, sea kayaking, para-siling and boogie boarding are regular activities on Main Beach!

Scotts Head Main Beach

Scotts Head Main (Forster) Beach is patrolled on summer weekends and school holidays, making it the perfect place for a safe family day out to the beach! The sand is 'squeaky' clean, perfect for making sand castles and the point is a favourite spot for malibu's, wave skiers and beginners. There is a viewing platform and lookout on the Surf Club Headland, ideal for spotting dolphins, whales and sea birds. There are covered, free gas barbeque and picnic facilities for you to enjoy a picnic lunch with family and friends, and a Children's playgrround for the kids!

Valley of the Mist Bush Tucker Farm

Imagine the silence of acres of pristine wetlands, a silence broken only by the calls of native birds and the dip of a canoe paddle. This is just one of the many delights waiting for you at the Valley of the Mist. 

Valley of the mist is a working farm, comprising of 106 acres, devoted to using sustainable and environmentally friendly methods to manage a native tree orchid. Valley of the Mist offers seasonal Walking and Bushtucker Tours and Tastings as well as a unique Canoe Tour of the acres of wetlands.
