Oakfield Ranch Camel Rides

Oakfield Ranch offers a unique experience to explore Birubi Point on a Camel Ride. Birubi Point is the northernmost point of the 32 kilometres of Stockton Beach, the largest moving coastal sand mass in the southern hemisphere. Standard camel rides go for 20 minutes, or you can choose the hour long sunset rides and enjoy the peaceful sunset at Anna Bay.

Swim with Dolphins

Port Stephens is rightly regarded as the Dolphin capital of Australia, with over 70 Bottlenose Dolphins calling the area home. Stockton Sand Dune Safaris

Take a family adventure on the largest moving sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere in one of the Sand Dune Safaris purpose built 13 seat Hummer and 21 seat coaster 4WD vehicles. 

Drive up and down some very large sand hills on the way to the sand boarding area, where you will go sand boarding down the massive dunes at breath taking speed, drive along the beautiful Stockton Beach where you will explore ‘Tin City’, and then travel to the Sygna Shipwreck. 

Oakvale Farm and Fauna World

Oakvale Farm and Fauna World is great for your family to experience and be entertained by a variety of native wildlife and farm animals. Go along and feed the baby farm animals, milk Daisy the cow, pat the friendly Koalas and feed the resident ducks and geese in the daily feeding shows. There are tractor rides available throughout the day as well Reptile Ravine where you can watch the snakes, lizard’s turtles and baby crocs. Take a picnic for lunch and make use of the free BBQ facilities or grab a bite to eat the kiosk and eatery. It's a great family day out!

Port Stephens Surf School

Ever wanted to learn to surf but didn’t know where to start? One Mile Beach is known for its perfect rolling waves, and the beach is patrolled from September to April – it’s the best place to learn! Port Stephens Surf School offers professional and experienced instructors to guide you throughout the thrills and spills of surfing and stand up paddle boarding for all abilities. 

Toboggan Hill Park

Toboggan Hill Park offers serious fun for all ages, all year round and for all weather conditions. Tobogganing is suitable for the whole family as each toboggan is equipped with brakes so that you control the speed of descent, slow to thrilling! Other activities include Indoor rock climbing, hot ice skating, mini golf, maze mania and much more. The large, grassy picnic area is the perfect place to relax for lunch and have a break from all thrilling adventures, so remember to pack a picnic and your picnic rug! 

Iruandji Shark & Ray Encounters

Irukandji is a unique interactive aquarium that allows visitors to experience ocean life in a new and exciting way! Have a close encounter with up to 190 Sharks and Rays, not to mention the other species hanging around! Every person emarks on an educational journey learning about all the species that you meet. Fighter World

Fighter World is a family friendly and totally 'hands on' experience. Visitors can walk-walk around and look into the cockpits of some of Australia's most famous aircraft including the iconic F- 111. In addition visitors can sit in the cockpits of the Mirage and Macchi jets and experience first-hand what it's like to live on the edge as one of the world's best 'Top Guns'. Inside the main hangar you'll also find a range of weapons and jet engines as well as the Norm Forrester Collection. Enjoy a bite to eat at Cafe Fighter World.

Visit Holberts Oysters waterfront factory outlet, located on the shores of Cromarty Bay. Here you will find Port Stephens leading growing and prossessing business. Enjoy the large shop front with a vast array of freshly shucked, award winning oysters and other local seafood. You'll be able to view through large windows the professional oyster shuckers at work, then take your purchase away or eat alfresco style on site over looking the stunning views of Port Stephens. 

Hunter Region Botanic Gardens

The Hunter's only Botanic Gardens feature more than 30 hectares of tranquil landscaped gardens displaying the beauty and diversity of Australian native flora.  Theme gardens include natives (grevillea, acacia, hakeas, ferns) and exotics (orchids, bromeliads and an amazing succulent and cacti garden). There is a visitor centre with a cafe and gift shop. There are also a library, herbarium, wildflower walks/trails and an abundance of wildlife.
