The partnership will see the state sporting organisation and holiday park work together to provide great accommodation options for the surf community throughout the year kicking off with the 2022 Ingenia Port Stephens Surf Festival this 27 April – 3 May.
The 2022 Ingenia Port Stephens Surf Festival will include State Championship events bringing together the top Longboard and Standup Paddle Board (SUP) surfers in NSW for the State Titles as well as the trials for the World Surf League Longboard World Tour event.
A combination of the best surfers from both Longboard and SUP, along with their family and friends, will descend upon the Port Stephens area and have the opportunity to take advantage of the partnership and discount offers.
As a keen surfer with three young groms, Ingenia CEO Simon Owen said the partnership is important and personal for him. “Ingenia Communities is incredibly proud to become a key partner of Surfing NSW.
“Many of our holiday parks and lifestyle communities are based on the NSW Coast and centred around a healthy active lifestyle in great open spaces which fits in perfectly with Surfing NSW,” he said.
Surfing NSW welcomes the support from Ingenia Holiday Parks across the high-performance events including the naming partner for the Ingenia Port Stephens Surf Festival and the Junior High-Performance Camp on location at the South Coast Ingenia Holiday Parks.
Surfing NSW CEO Luke Madden agreed saying, “as surfers and competitors we’re always on the move whether on a road trip, with the family, friends or traveling to compete and good, reliable accommodation is a crucial part to to what we do at Surfing NSW. Whether it’s for our competitors, the surf community or our events crew, we know the importance of having somewhere safe, affordable and fun to stay! Ingenia Holiday Parks provide this and we are stoked connect with them,” said Madden.
