Food Over Fire

The Cellar by Gilbert will once again offer their unique long lunch experience, Food Over Fire, each Saturday in the Mudgee Region from 19 May to 29 September.

The relaxed and indulgent four-course dining experience is set around a large, communal farmhouse-style table. Dishes feature the freshness and versatility of Mudgee’s seasonal produce in this ‘Farm to Table’ adventure.

The Chef, Pip Sumbak, manages to showcase regional ingredients at their best be it animal, fruit or vegetable. The first course is served around the fire-pit, where guests will be introduced to Pip, learn about the local producers and of the dishes being served. To complete the experience an optional paired flight of wines is available at an additional cost.
