Fighter World

Fighter World is a hands on, family friendly attraction that charts the history of fighter aircraft operations in the Royal Australian Air Force. Visitors can walk around and look into the cockpits of iconic aircraft such as the mighty F-111 and Mirage III or climb into the cockpit of a Macchi jet trainer. Check out the spectacular collection of model aircraft in the main hanger and watch the RAAF’s squadrons take-off and land from the observation deck.

Hunter Region Botanic Gardens

Enjoy a stroll along the walking trails at the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens as you explore more than 130 hectares of gardens and natural bushland. Theme gardens showcase a variety of plants from the colourful orchids and camellias to the tranquil Waterfall Garden and impressive Succulent and Cacti Garden. The library and herbarium provide information about the various specimens and the visitor centre gift shop stocks a range of souvenirs.
