Kingscliff is a peaceful, seaside town on the northern New South Wales coast, combining soft sand beaches with lush green surrounds.

It is a fabulous holiday destination, within driving distance of the exciting Gold Coast and laid back Byron Bay, so you can do as little or as much as you like. Here are some of our favourite local attractions.

Kick back on the beach

Enjoy a relaxing splash with the family at Cudgen Creek Beach. There is a playground right near the swimming area to keep the kids entertained and the sheltered waterway is perfect for swimming and stand-up paddle boarding. Kingscliff Beach, across from the café strip, is another popular spot to build sandcastles and enjoy a dip in the ocean. Surfers can catch a wave from the reef break on the southern edge of Kingscliff or head 10 minutes south to Cabarita Beach which is popular for its consistent swell.

Cudgen Nature Reserve

The Cudgen Nature Reserve is a short drive from Kingscliff and while it may be small it’s bursting with natural beauty. The reserve incorporates a range of vegetation from littoral rainforest to fernlands and mangroves and is home to a wide variety of bird life. If you are lucky, you might even spot a koala dozing high up in the trees. Enjoy lunch at the picnic area or go canoeing on the lake.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Get up close with Australia’s extraordinary wildlife at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Relax in the park’s natural bushland and rainforest setting, come face to face with friendly koalas and kangaroos, experience the excitement of the free-flight bird show or challenge yourself on the TreeTops High Ropes Course. Kids will also love the new Blinky Bill’s Studio Adventure show.

Tweed Regional Museum

The Tweed Regional Museum is a unique attraction spread across three locations, Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah and Uki, and was formed with the uniting of three local historical societies. The museums are each housed in historic buildings and showcase displays that give visitors an insight into the settlement and development of the region.

Ingenia Holidays Kingscliff is your ideal home away from home while you explore the natural beauty and local attractions of the region. The park has a range of accommodation options including cabins, ensuite and powered caravan and camping sites plus a resort style pool and playground.
