Robertson Park

Pack a picnic and relax in the shady, green surrounds of Robertson Park, in the centre of Mudgee. The charming band rotunda dates back to 1903 and beautiful flower gardens add a splash of colour when in bloom. The park is a great spot for families with barbeque facilities, play equipment and plenty of space to run around.

Historical Gulgong

Get a taste of the region’s colonial goldmining past at historical Gulgong. Take a wander through town to see more than a hundred heritage-listed buildings, including the country’s oldest operating opera house. Learn about life during the gold rush at the Pioneers Museum or visit the Gulgong Gold Experience, on the site of the town’s first gold find, learn about the gold fields or try your hand at gold panning.

Lees Pinch Lookout

Goulburn River National Park is a beautiful natural setting combining forest and riverside. Follow the popular Lees Pinch Lookout walking track, an easy 1km loop, to take in stunning views of the rugged landscape, flowing river and lush forest. The park is also a popular spot for birdwatching and home to a variety of animals including wallabies and wombats.

Ferntree Gully

Ferntree Gully Reserve is beautiful scenic rainforest with some wonderful walking tracks. Take in the sweeping views from the top edge of the rocks or wander along the cool, valley floor to see the unique assortment of plants and trees. The full loop track includes some steep hills and scrambling over rocks but is well worth the effort with magnificent tree-ferns, pretty rock orchids and impressive fig trees.
