Nambucca Heads is one of Australia’s most picturesque waterside camping destinations, making it a must-do for your driving or caravanning holiday. Set on the mid North Coast of NSW, the area is perfect for fishing, boating, surfing and walking.

We’re lucky enough to have a park at the headlands of Nambucca – Ingenia Holidays White Albatross. The park is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Nambucca River and Gordon Park Rainforest. We’ve compiled a list of some of our favourite attractions in this part of the world:

Beaches

This region boasts both surf and river beaches such as Main Beach – with its lookouts, restaurant, museum on the headland, the Nambucca Heads Surf Life Saving Club – and dolphins and whales sometimes close to shore during spring. Bellwood Park is a riverside beach popular with families, offering shady picnic and BBQ areas, playground, pontoon, bike/walking trail and more. And pretty Nambucca Heads Beach is nestled alongside small green hills and has gentle waves to enjoy.

Ocean Lookouts

This area boasts many lookouts with spectacular views to South West Rocks, almost to Coffs Harbour in the north and west to the mountains.

V-Wall

Described as an “outdoor art gallery”, this is a stretch of breakwall sits right outside our park, Ingenia Holidays White Albatross! It features paintings and messages from visitors and locals. You’re encouraged to paint a rock and leave your own holiday message. If you’d prefer not to get too artistic, you’re still sure to enjoy the walk, while reading messages from around the world!

Gordon Park

Walk through this piece of original rainforest, preserved within a residential area. Relax and enjoy the sounds of the coastal bush and look out for local and migratory birds that make the forest their home.

Headland Historical Museum

Explore the region’s colourful history via this collection of historical photographs, documents and artefacts, plus a display of china and ceramics including the “Boulton Collection”, needlework and garment display, and memorabilia of early Australian Households. How have things changed?

Nambucca Heads Island Golf Club

What an experience! This challenging 18-hole golf course is surrounded by water, set on Stuart Island in the Nambucca River. Try to remain focused on your swing, with so many views of the ocean competing for your attention.

We believe our Ingenia Holidays White Albatross is also a great place to spend your time!

Soak up some sun on the surf beach, fish off the sea wall, launch your boat and cruise the Nambucca River, or enjoy water activities in our tidal swimming lagoon. Enjoy a meal at our V-Wall Tavern with its wonderful views.
