South West Rocks is a seaside town on the scenic NSW mid-north coast, popular with holiday-makers, fishermen, walkers and just those who want to get away from it all. They’re attracted by the region’s lovely beaches, rivers, wildlife and National Parks.

Make Ingenia Holidays South West Rocks your home base to explore this beautiful region. Our park is nestled along the banks of a scenic tidal waterway and just a short walk to the town centre and local beaches.

The wonders of South West Rocks include:

Historic Trial Bay Gaol

Tiral Bay Gaol opened in 1886 and sits on cliffs above the sea. Today, it’s a picturesque ruin and fascinating site to explore. You can find details of opening times and tours at the national parks website here.

Little Bay Picnic Area

This area has all the space, covered picnic areas and barbecues of any great picnic spot. There’s a creek meandering through it and while you’re relaxing, see if you can spot an Eastern Grey Kangaroo nearby!

Smokey Cape Lighthouse

Is one of the tallest and oldest lighthouses in Australia and another great spot for whale watching (between May and November). Some have described the lighthouse as beautiful, and certainly, the surrounding scenery is stunning. The perfect spot or some great photographs.

Hat Head National Park

Located near Kempsey has lots of walking trails to enjoy. As well as whale watching, the park also offers something for bird waters in particular around the beautiful park’s wetlands and beaches. It’s been described as a place of exceptional beauty. You can find detailed visitor information on the national parks website here.
